"Reference Check"

When I first started looking for my first real job I soon found out about having good references for a potential employer. You see references are persons that know important details concerning your work ethic, and well you can adapt to certain employment changes and so forth. Although it's nice to know that your Aunt Suzy thinks the world of you; employers are looking to speak with individuals that aren't related to you and people that would be unbias.

Most times we don't realize that we are making ourselves known to the people we work with or go to school with each and everyday. That is why it is so important to maintain an attitude as well as a posture of excellence at all times. No, we are not always at 100% everyday however that should never affect our attitudes. Regardless of the situations that we face each day; our goal is to always look to please the Lord of our Salvation and Source.

When we think people aren't watching is the time when our characters and attitudes should be at there highest levels, because most reference seekers will ask about the type of person you are when you are left alone and working by yourself. What will your references say of you? Will you be offered the position or will someone else? "A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold."Prov. 22:1
