There has always been this stigma with people, young ones in particular that in order to live the life of a christian that one has to walk around with a long face trying to look all somber and pius as if they had been sucking on lemons or drinking vinegar. I can remember older christians hardly ever smiling which tends to keep young people from wanting to be a part of what they were trying to get across.
I've learned that living a christian lifestyle shouldn't be a pressured, walking on eggshell, sorrowful existance. It has been my experience that there is a light joyful feeling when one truly comes to know the Lord Jesus. Christians are supposed to be the light of the world and it's that light which draws people to see what is it about us, not the humdrum dried up looks I've seen on some christians faces.
This is why I prefer not to use the wording of christians when I'm talking about true born again believers. I like using the words that the bible uses when referring to them and that is Saints; so from this post on when I speak of believers the word will be "Saints".
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.Num 6:24-26
"All the saints salute you." 2Cor 13:13
