"Re-alignments are necessary"

It has been 21 days since my last post; which if I was trying to overly spiritual I could say, "I have been away for three weeks...One week for the Father, one week for the Son and one week for the Holy Ghost. Now, once I had put it out there like that I could follow-up with how it has been such a interesting time I had with communing with the Lord and listening to all He was saying to me during this time is truly beyond any words I could even begin to muster.

The truth being I have, on my own, stepped away from my writing for a while in order to re-evaluate myself and the message I've attempted to put out into cyber-space. What I found quite surprising was how I had begun to place expectations on myself that the Lord had never once mentioned. So, I had to as they say, do some soul searching; not because I was in danger of being lost but more because I was in danger of losing sight of the direction He has for me.

I believe we all have the moments of what I consider misalignment, and what I mean is this: When we purchase a new car and begin to drive it here and there we sometimes without warning hit bumps in the road we didn't see and over time those bumps begin to manipulate the alignment of the vehicle at which point we need to take it the shop and have it realigned. Depending how long we drove the vehicle once it was out of alignment the greater the time it will take to bring it back into alignment.

Peter when he began to walk on the water to Jesus; took his eyes off of Jesus and began to sink, but immediately cried out to the Lord for help and Jesus lifted Peter back up. The same Peter when the disciples were in the Upper Room with Jesus was told by the Lord to strengthen the Brothers once he was converted.

So, I'm looking to strengthen the believers when I say, it is possible to lose sight of things when your attention is redirected by the external circumstances, however know this for a certainty the very God in whom we serve is faithful to His word. The winds will continue to blow and the heathens shall continue to rage, but most importantly God will continue to be God. Self-help books are good in their place but we are to heed the writing of Paul when he said: Brethern, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth to those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Phil 3:13,14

Have you experienced misalignment? What were you're signs?

Boy, did I need this.
"redirected by external circumstances" is just what I've been allowing to happen to myself tonight. I've had emails about foreign countries attacking our electric grid, I've had emails about Alan Keyes predicting obama will stage attacks and declare martial law...and more. And was I GETTING DOWN!
Thanks for the reminder, I.H.S...I have to stay focused, we ALL do, on God... that could be why he's allowing all of this to happen, anyway.
Thanks. I REALLY needed this tonight, particularly.
Glad you're back. I know others will be blessed as well. xxx

Good to see a new post here. If you need some realignment then why don't you jump on your bike and ride here to Missouri. We'll spend a day laughing and praying and eating Kansas City BBQ. Most of all, just being brothers in Christ.

Papa, I think I'm going to have to take you up on that sooner than you think. Thanks!

Blessings.
